1. Entry.
- You must be of rank specified for each Amateur League of Legends Tournament group's tournament. Our main focus is definitely the Low-ELO players, meaning most of our tournaments will be for people in Bronze and Silver. There will, however be competition in higher ELO brackets so visit us often to find out what sort of tournaments are coming up.
- You may bring up to 5 people into your team as you sign up. Please ensure everyone is of required rank or lower, and that this is not their smurf, but their main.
- If you bring any less than 5 people into your team, I will do my best to put you with others that sign up without a full team. If there is not enough room or you must be separated, I will talk to you about it.
- If more than one team sign up with a same person on their team, I will contact the lead of each team to determine what is going on and remove them from their false entry.
- You may sign up with subs if the sign up page allows for it. In case it does not or in case that you did not sign up as a team, you may look for an open player.
- Assume the tournament is NA unless specified otherwise.
- Tournaments on Summoner's Rift will often have a Rank (ELO) Requirement. Please follow these rank requirements ON YOUR MAIN. Smurfs are not allowed. Please for the sake of lower ELO players, do NOT smurf in these tournaments.
- In the case there is a team number cap, the following is used to determine if you can play: Players have not played before; Player has a full team; Player signed up first. This means new players who sign up with a full team will be included in the tournament before a player who has played before, but a new player without a team will be included after a returning team.
2. Time
- Each tournament has it's own time frame that the games must be played at, and it will usually be 2 to 10 PM EST on a Friday and a Saturday.
- Time and date are subject to change for each tournament, please make sure to look before making any assumptions.
- You MUST be available to play your games in that time. If you cannot, or if there is conflict with your team, we will first try to reschedule within 1 hours and if we can not, will simply take it as a forfeit for that team.
3. Prizing
- For each tournament, I will attempt to contact riot and get prizing for the top 4 teams. If it succeeds, first place gets 3200 RP + Triumphant Ryze skin, 2nd place gets 2400 RP, 3rd place gets 1600 RP, and 4th place gets 800 RP. These prizes are PER TEAM MEMBER.
- I will attempt to give out prizes on my own. If anyone would like to help out with the cause, please look at the donation tab.
4. Games
- Depending on the tournament type, the games may be anything form 5v5 Summoner's Rift, 5v5 Dominion, 5v5 Aram, and 3v3 Twisted Treeline. Please make sure to check what type of games this month's tournament will be.
- Games will most likely be single elimination, but may change for certain games such as finals or certain tournaments. Please make sure to refer to each month's rules.
- The bracket will be played as a standard bracket (8/16/32/64/..). If there are odd number of teams or not enough teams to make a full bracket, some teams will skip a stage to make the bracket work.
- The teams will randomly be assigned a position in the bracket, completely done by random.org. There will be no favoring a team during bracket creation to ensure every team has a fair chance.
6. Disqualification
- If a team is caught cheating (proof of scripting, getting someone to play on their account to ensure a victory, etc) we will eliminate you for cheating and you will be DQed for further games.
7. The stream
- The games will be streamed to twitch.tv/amateurloltourney. Looking for commentator.
- Please do not ask if you can be streamed. We will try to stream as much games as possible, but most of the time, the schedule calls for 2 games to be played at the same time, we cannot physically stream every game.
8. Substitute player
- A team may sign up with up to two subs. If you do not have subs and your player cannot play a game, it will count as a no show unless they can provide subs on the spot. They will be put on the team list as subs after wards and cannot play in a different team.
- Substitute players cannot be given prizing. Sorry.
9. Teams
- Once teams are announced, there will be no team switching. Please keep this in mind. You may always decide to quit from the tournament. In the case you do, you may not re-enter and your team will be given a replacement player that meet the requirement.
